Two Expressions of Interphone Frequency, Wavelength And Frequency

When writing the communication mode of the interphone, the wavelength or frequency is usually written, such as 2meter or 150MHz. This table lists the correspondence between the commonly used wavelength band and frequency

Wave Length 10 Meter 6 Meter 5 Meter 2 Meter 70 Centimeter
Frequency 30MHz 50MHz 60MHz 150MHz 440MHz

The relationship between wavelength and frequency is that they are inversely proportional, wave velocity = wavelength × Therefore, electromagnetic waves with different frequencies have different wavelengths in the air. The propagation speed of electromagnetic waves with different frequencies (or different wavelengths) is the same. The propagation speed in the air is about 3x10e8 M / s. The higher the frequency of electromagnetic waves, the shorter the corresponding wavelength. The electromagnetic wave having a larger frequency has a shorter wavelength. Radio waves have the longest wavelength (lowest frequency), while rays have the shortest wavelength (highest frequency)

Generally, radio waves refer to the peak 30ghz (Giga Hertz) from the extremely low frequency 10kHz to the extremely high frequency. Because the radio spectrum beyond this range has very different characteristics, such as light and X-rays. However, the above-mentioned 10kHz to 30ghz is usually divided into seven areas, of which the high frequency 3-30MHz is what we usually call short wave

Very Low Frequency, 10KHz – 30KHz
Low Frequency, 30KHz – 300KHz
Medium Frequency, 30KHz – 3000KHz
High Frequency, 3MHz – 30MHz
Very High Frequency, 30MHz – 300MHz
UHF Ultra High Frequency, 300MHz – 3000MHz
SHF Super High Frequency, 3GHz – 30GHz

What to do

So you are wondering, what else is their besides just having a general conversion with
someone? This is a great hobby, not only for those general conversations, but their is so much
more that can be done – even things that could save lives can be done right here in the radio.
You might just be casually scanning the band and find yourself helping give directions to an out
of the area ham, or something more serious that you need to call 911.
Many areas have weekly, or daily nets they operate, these are used for anyone just to check in,
some may have training, some question and answer – but the underlying purpose of doing the
nets is to make sure equipment is operating correctly so you can be ready to go during an
emergency.
Many areas of the country have area specific disaster training – here on the pacific coast, our
training may be more geared towards earthquakes and tsunamis and not much on tornadoes,
whereas in the central US it could be something totally different. Of course, the reason for this
training is to both understand your limitations as an operator and preparing for a real event
when it happens.
We most likely won’t be called to help at the start of a disaster, but as they have red cross
shelters open, the communication needs are going to be more that the responding agencies can
handle, thats when we are call us, to take that load off of everyone, their the experts at
managing the disaster, we could be the experts at communicating during the disaster.
Remember one of the greatest assets to ham radio is that we don’t have to have any
infrastructure to operate – most agencies when their repeaters go down they can’t talk – we can.
We may be asked to man a shelter someplace, or to be a shadow of someone, bring their ears
during a situation. Maybe you’re just want to stay home during a disaster, that fine to – can be a
net control, or even just bring their listening – everyone can have a part.
Another thing that we do a lot of it public service events like roke races, boat races, the walks
that different groups do to raise money, parade comms. Just about anything that needs
communications may very well be manned with ham operators. This is a no cost way for these
types of agencies to to look to us, but we also provide security and safety to a certain extend –
like during a parade, we may choose a street, we are not trained in traffic control – but that’s
what we might be doing in a parade – with you yellow vest on, Talking on a radio people are
going to tend to listen to you. These different organizations like to use ham operators, because
it won’t cost them anything, we can charge for the use of our radios, and most groups wouldn’t
charge anyways – but that just takes the wondering away, and most organizations use us year
after year, this is also a great time to check out your portable station, and meme sure that it is
good to go for any real life situations.
Really, when you think about it any type of enemy’s we do, weather it be for a disaster or public
service event is going to show us an area that needs to be improved with our station, wether we
need to work on our antenna system, our power supply set – up, or even or own operating skills
at operating our own radio, especially during high stress situations.
I know that by being a new operator, you may just not feel comfortable with running a station by
yourself, that’s just to much to twiteal with on right from the start, many times if you really want
to help, be their as second person, help set-up, listen to how things are done, their is a specific
back and forth way of doing things that you will need to get figured out, just sitting their and
listening for a while and your whole street to pick up on how things are done, maybe be the
scribe, sitting there with net control, writing things down, not a high stress position, since their
are at least two of you – but still an important one.
Another often overlooked but fun activity is getting involved with radio direction finding, finding a
station that is transmitting, with on accident or in an effort to disrupt communications, a few
people with radios and skill can pinpoint to exact source of the interference and deal with it
(called fox hunting) – using the same techniques that we have used for years to locate airplanes
with their emergency beacon on – although we do very little of that theses data since they have
changed frequencies and it’s done all by satellites now.
Their are plenty of other things different groups do around the world, but there’s sure to be
something to get into with ham radio then you first thought.
And these days, getting into ham radio doesn’t even have to cost you a lot of money , with
companies sick as Wouxun, you get involved in all the activities on 2-meters, very often the
radios you get from wouxun will provide you with more features than any of the big brands, you
will definately want to check them out.

Space

Amature radio and space
Now you may be thinking that amateur radio doesn’t have much to do with space, after
all the international space station is 248 miles high, there is no way ypu can talk that far
on earth, why would it be any different in space?
Their is an lot more than talking to the ISS up their, and surprisingly, a lot higher than
the international space station, their are satellites specifically dedicated to ham radio,
and granted theses are harder to use than any ground based repeater, the results are a
lot more memorable, and a goal for most ham operators.
All the satellites and the ISS use 2-Meters for their radios, nothing different than what
we use here on land – the fact that there are no hills, mountains are for the most part
even any air to contend with, it really is not too hard to use the satellites, although a lot
more calculating, planning, and preparing has to be done to make this journey happen.
You have to find out when the satellite is even going to be overhead, you need to figure
out precisely where to point your antenna and hope you can hear is, is going to be a
crowded mess – but if you manage to get through it will be a part of your ham radio
experiences to not forget. You don’t have to use a lot of power to make it happen, my
first satellite contact was on a wouxun handheld with the rubber antenna, but came with
that where many, many nights that one piece wasn’t perfect, and I heard nothing, but
then, it happened, if only for a few seconds – it still happened and contact was made.
One great radio to do this with would be the wouxun KG-UV8D, with its dual band
capabilities, and low cost, and just the right set of features.
Some ham operators actually bounce their signals off the moon! It’s going to take a
large financial step, but it is definately possible to bounce signals off the moon, and talk
worldwide, pretty crazy though but definately possible.
Although, technically may not be space, we will look at the upper layers of our
atmosphere as space for this. Although VHF radio is not affected by the atmosphere
generally, when you get into the HF range, the different layers of the atmosphere greatly
affect your signal.
In the HF bands the time of day has a vast affect your signals, you signal goes up into
the ionosphere and they it will be absorbed and noisy can hear you, or it can be
bounced back to earth, hundreds if not tosh of miles from you – you never know just
where your signal goes, things like the sunspots on the sun to the weather all have an
effect on your signal, it’s that always changing, never exactly the same stuff with our
signals that are a element of surprise to our segment you from someone you dinette
where not expecting pops out of radio speaker.

What is UHF CB Two Way Radio?

UHF CB is a class-licensed citizen’s band radio service authorised by the governments of Australia, New Zealand, Vanuatu, and Malaysia in the UHF 477 MHz band. UHF CB provides 77 channels, including 32 channels (16 output, 16 input) allocated to repeater stations. It is similar in concept to 27 MHz CB Radio in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.

Class licensing means that users do not have to apply for a licence or pay a licence fee however they must comply with the regulations of the class licence.

User equipment designs are similar to commercial land mobile two-way radio except the maximum legal output power is 5 Watts. External antennas are permitted and commercially manufactured antennas have gains as high as 12 dB. Handheld transceivers (handy talkies) are permitted and have transmit power from 500 mW to 5 W (full legal power) and are relatively cheap compared to full-sized transceivers. Operation in the band is restricted to modes F3E and G3E (FM or PM of analogue voice telephony) except for channels 22 and 23, which are data modes only.

Channel 5 and 35 are the designated emergency channels in Australia, Vanuatu and Malaysia, and are not to be used except in an emergency. Making an emergency call involves switching the radio to Channel 5 with duplex on, and trying again with duplex off if there’s no response. In New Zealand channels 5 and 35 are not emergency channels, they are available for general use in duplex (repeater) mode. In New Zealand, if you use UHF PRS for emergency, you rely on someone listening on the same channel. Scan all channels for activity before requesting assistance.

Channel 9 is the designated emergency channel in Malaysia.

Channel 11 is the ‘call channel’ and is only to be used for initiating calls with another person, who should quickly organise another vacant channel to continue their discussion.

Channel 22 and 23 are only to be used for telemetry and telecommand. Packet data and voice transmission are not allowed.

Channel 61, 62 and 63 are reserved for future allocation and transmission on these channels is not allowed.

When Buying a Walkie Talkie, is it Better to Choose a Long Antenna or a Short One?

We all know that the antenna of the walkie talkie is proportional to the transmission and reception of the walkie talkie. The antenna is a device that transmits electromagnetic waves into the air. We usually use walkie talkie, in order to send more energy (or power) to the air, so that when the other party receives the signal, there is enough energy to restore the content of the information. The antenna is an important part of the transmitting part. Today, Xiaobian will talk with you about the choice of long antenna or short antenna when buying walkie talkie?

antenna

In fact, the antenna of the walkie talkie is not distinguished by the length of the antenna, but by the frequency band. Although the antenna is usually selected with long or short antennas, the final selection is based on the frequency written by the walkie talkie. You can look at the bottom of the antenna. Generally, there will be remarks at the bottom of the antenna to explain the applicable frequency range of the antenna. If the frequency written by the walkie talkie is within this range, the antenna is applicable. Of course, each interphone manufacturer produces each interphone with a central frequency.

5G New Construction Accelerates The Development of Private Network Communications, The Public Network Can Open Up New Market Space?

In our daily life, we often see the police on duty and subway dispatchers wearing an intercom at work. Whenever something happens, press the switch to talk to colleagues in the headquarters or elsewhere. The communication network between walkie-talkies is called “private network communication”, which is generally used in specific industries or enterprises. Its users are mainly industrial users who have high requirements for network reliability and security, including governments, railways, subways, and airports. , Ports, power, petrochemical, mining, water conservancy, etc.

Although ordinary users seldom contact, whether it is the smooth holding of large-scale events, international events, or timely response to earthquakes, fires, and terrorist attacks, they cannot do without private network communication. It can even rescue lives in critical moments. And the characteristics of reliable performance, low cost, and customization make private networks have irreplaceable advantages in industry applications

However, it is worth noting that the evolution of private network technology is still relatively slow compared to the public network, and the arrival of the 5G era may change this form. Some experts said that in the 5G era, because 5G takes into account the needs of vertical industries from the overall system design, the situation of “private public network” will become more obvious. The 5G public network built by telecom operators can serve industry users very well through special technology; private network service providers can make full use of public network broadband wireless communication network resources to build necessary private network communication services on the public network And broadband-based services. From this perspective, the integration of public and private networks will better meet the needs of industry users and promote the industry to create a huge market

Relevant data show that the global private network market is about 10 billion to 20 billion US dollars, but the opportunity of the public network private market will expand more than 10 times. Industry users will increase their investment in the construction of their dedicated communication network and supporting terminals, software, services, etc., to ensure the operation of their dedicated network communication system. Therefore, the upgrade and transformation of existing private network communication networks based on 5G technology on a global scale will bring huge market space

Specifically, the traditional private network solves the problem of voice coverage, and focuses on converging communications under the background of “new infrastructure”. Public and private networks are interconnected, and information and video are interconnected. Intelligent public safety and emergency communications will be Bring a lot of business opportunities. At the same time, the “new infrastructure” pays more attention to to B and to C customers, and supports more scenarios and applications with the support of new technologies such as 5G, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. In addition, “new infrastructure” is an important driving force for economic growth, and capital support such as special bonds and special funds will also bring great increases.

What is Ham Radio?

Amateur Radio (ham radio) is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics and communication together. People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the Internet or cell phones. It’s fun, social, educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need.

You can set up a ham radio station anywhere! In a field

at a club station

Although Amateur Radio operators get involved for many reasons, they all have in common a basic knowledge of radio technology and operating principles, and pass an examination for the FCC license to operate on radio frequencies known as the “Amateur Bands.” These bands are radio frequencies allocated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for use by ham radio operators.

2 Practical Reasons to Use Two-Way Radios

1. Safety

Safety is the No. 1 concern for any professional cleaner or custodial firm. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2015 custodians and cleaners suffered an average of 50,000 injuries that required them to take days off from work. Even more staggering, the industry is in the top 20 most hazardous occupations, along with logging, professional fishing, and roofing.

Cleaning injuries can range from accidental exposure to hazardous chemicals to slips, trips, and falls. Two-way radios are valuable tools for anyone who works in an isolated or remote area as custodians often do. Unlike cell phones, which may not be able to receive or send a signal and can be hard to operate in the midst of an emergency, two-way radios can provide immediate and reliable communication.

For example, most professional-grade, two-way radios have a programmable emergency alert button located on the top of the unit. During an emergency, workers can push the button to immediately send out an alert to either the entire network or a specific user. The signal will reveal which radio sent the alert. This feature allows two-way radio users to instantly communicate with each other while maintaining distance between them, which is especially valuable in this age of the highly contagious coronavirus.

2. Efficiency
A two-way radio is a useful tool for maximizing efficiency in any facility setting. Consider a cleaning crew dispatched to a large office building with multiple floors. One worker may encounter a problem on the seventh floor that requires a second opinion or supervisory instruction. With a professional-grade, two-way radio, the worker can instantly notify another team member or supervisor to receive the additional support needed to get the job done. Not having to leave a location to secure help saves the worker time and saves the company money.
